What does the test consist of??
The purpose of chest x-ray is assess the lungs, heart and the structures that accompany it. By exposing a part of the body to a small dose of x-rays, an image of these internal organs is obtained.
They are normally used 2 projections for diagnosis, (posteroanterior y lateral) but may vary depending on medical indications.
How do I have to come prepared? When will I have the results?
It's not necesary no preparation. The examination is informed and delivered by the radiologist at the time.

With this test we can evaluate abdominal pathologies such as a intestinal obstruction or the presence of a calculation (piedra) in the kidney or gallbladder. The patient will be placed lying on the stretcher and a single projection will be performed. (may vary depending on the radiologist's criteria).

The objective of musculoskeletal radiology is to mainly assess bone structures and joint spaces.. The most frequent indications are fractures, degenerative bone diseases… They are normally used 2 projections for diagnosis, but may vary depending on medical indications.

This test no preparation required some. The examination is informed and delivered by the radiologist at the time.
UPPER DIGESTIVE STUDY- ESOPHAGOGASTRODUODENAL TRANSIT
It is a radiological examination, to study the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. During the test you will be asked to take contrast (barium porridge) orally, which allows us to assess whether there is a correct functioning of these structures, as well as the presence of any structural pathology, and in this way study different digestive diseases.

You must fast for at least 6 hours.
To carry out this study, where you want to visualize the esophagus, stomach, duodenum and the proximal part of the small intestine, We will use a radiological contrast called Barigraf (We will tell you where to purchase it when you make your appointment.), that you will have to take as instructed by the technician at the time of carrying out the study.
